MarketWatch Analyst

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in-office

What you will do

• Monitor equity trading activity in real time for unusual price movements, suspicious patterns, and order book anomalies.
• Review automated surveillance alerts and material disclosures from listed companies.
• Escalate issues and intervene in trading activity when required, including managing trade breaks and trading suspensions.
• Draft preliminary referrals for suspected market abuse or disciplinary matters.
• Support regulatory responsibilities and contribute to projects that strengthen market oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in market surveillance, compliance, trading operations, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of equity markets and trading mechanisms.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work in the Philadelphia hybrid environment at least 3 days per week in-office.

Nice to have

• Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• Familiarity with surveillance platforms or market data tools.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in global or multicultural settings.
