Senior Project Manager (French-Speaking)

Location: Barcelona office, Sant Joan Despí (BCN), Spain. Regular travel to meet customers is required.

What you will do

• Manage complex customer IT and technology implementation projects from requirements analysis through handover and closure.
• Lead projects in the CBDC ecosystem, including backend applications, mobile apps, digital wallets, smart cards, and integration components.
• Manage project teams, risks, change requests, dependencies, scope, quality, timelines, and budgets.
• Establish project governance through status reporting, steering meetings, escalation management, and decision tracking.
• Coordinate internal teams, customers, partners, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders in an international environment.
• Prepare tenders and proposals with business development and technical teams, while facilitating customer communication in French and English.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience managing complex customer IT projects.
• Strong leadership, resilience, ownership, analytical skills, and decision-making ability under pressure.
• Ability to translate requirements into reliable effort estimates and realistic implementation plans.
• Convincing communication skills in French and English with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to moderate business and technical discussions and operate in confidential, high-governance, customer-facing environments.
• Based in the Barcelona office and willing to travel regularly to meet customers.

Nice to have

• Experience with central banks, digital currencies, payment infrastructure, economics, or payment projects.
• Experience with IT security-focused solutions.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification.
• Arabic, Spanish, or German language skills.
