DevOps Engineer (GitHub)

Location: Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, or Slovakia; work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

What you will do

• Migrate Azure DevOps repositories to GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• Convert Azure DevOps pipelines into GitHub Actions workflows and remediate migrated workflows.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and optimize CI/CD workflows for reliability and efficiency.
• Validate migrated repositories and workflows with engineering and development teams.
• Support teams during the transition to GitHub and contribute to repository administration.
• Document migration processes, issues, solutions, and GitHub and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions workflow development.
• Proven experience migrating repositories and practical experience with Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server and/or GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, workflow troubleshooting, and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to work independently, solve technical problems, and coordinate with multiple engineering teams.
• Must work from the European Union region and hold a valid work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps-to-GitHub migrations and GitHub Enterprise administration.
• Experience optimizing complex GitHub Actions workflows and applying enterprise repository governance.
• Experience with large enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience using AI-powered assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Experience applying GenAI workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations within the SDLC.
