Quality Iteration Project Manager (Automotive)

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States; Workplace: On-site. Travel is required domestically and internationally.

What you will do

• Direct the overall quality iteration activities and output of designated projects.
• Evaluate GD&T, tooling concepts and designs, checking fixtures, and die modifications against quality objectives.
• Manage parts through quality iteration and serve as the primary customer contact for panel and tooling issues.
• Explain quality engineering, checking fixture, and die modification requirements to customers and internal departments.
• Guide changes, new processes, and new product introductions.
• Review project financial status and control expenditures within the defined scope of work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or 7+ years of related experience; the position also requires 3–5 years of related assembly tooling experience or training.
• Background in body-in-white assembly system tools, mechanical or controls design, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of hemming and stamping.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand body-in-white system processes.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Domestic and international travel availability is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CATIA, UG, or AutoCAD.
