Project Manager, Hardware Development

Location: South Jordan, Utah, USA; candidates must be in or relocate to the Salt Lake City area and work in-office Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays also requiring office attendance.

What you will do

• Manage complex electro-mechanical product development projects from planning through market launch.
• Act as the technical and programmatic focal point for engineering development activities.
• Own project budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and action items while driving corrective actions.
• Coordinate software, product management, engineering, quality, and other functional teams.
• Coordinate testing and inspections to verify product performance against engineering and product specifications.
• Manage suppliers and contract manufacturing partners, including regular travel to Asia at least four times per year.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of project management experience related to product development.
• Working knowledge of software and firmware, with some programming experience.
• Familiarity with electronics and the ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills, plus experience with project management tools.
• Must currently live in the United States or relocate within the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for all visa types.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Minitab.
• Knowledge of statistical process control methods, including Cpk, T-Tests, X-Bar/R charts, and DOE.
