Entry Level Software Engineer

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island, United States; must be local to the work location, with occasional telework

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Understand and modify applications using Linux, Windows, Java, React, CSS, and Python.
• Create and maintain software and test documentation.
• Support software development, evaluation, system integration, and testing.
• Develop unit and integration test plans and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality software on schedule within an Agile Scrum environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5–6 years of experience and pursuit of a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Object-oriented programming experience in C++ and/or Java.
• Familiarity with Eclipse, Jira, Bamboo, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team-based coding environments with mentors.
• Must be local to the Middletown, Rhode Island work location.

Nice to have

• Experience developing under UNIX- or Linux-based systems.
• Experience in web development and/or databases.
