3D Character Animator (Senior) (Fighting Games)

Location: Remote from all over the world. Working hours are 10 AM–7 PM (GMT+3), with possible adjustment.

Nekki is a game development studio creating mobile, PC, and console games, including the Shadow Fight and Vector franchises.

What you will do

• Develop and animate combat movesets for Shadow Fight 4: Arena.
• Refine existing animations through feedback and constructive critique.
• Provide animation feedback, maintain project guidelines, and communicate quality standards to the team.
• Represent the animation team in pipeline and workflow discussions and help resolve critical issues.
• Work with motion capture and animation tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of animation experience in games or film.
• Excellent Maya animation skills and a strong understanding of animation principles and body mechanics.
• Experience animating for fighting games or solid industry knowledge of fighting-game animation.
• Experience with animation tools in Unity, animation rigs, and animation pipelines.
• Ability to provide feedback, set the animation vision, communicate effectively, and work iteratively.
• Strong interest in video games, animated films, and cinema.

Nice to have

• Rigging and skinning experience.
• Higher education in an art-related field.
