What you will do
- Frame business questions as analytical problems and select practical approaches that balance quality, effort, and time.
- Analyze large datasets from multiple sources using SQL and Python, R, or a similar language.
- Build reliable datasets, reusable code, basic data pipelines, dashboards, visualizations, and executive summaries.
- Develop insights and recommendations for hotel partner discussions, commercial decisions, supply quality, and performance improvement.
- Apply descriptive statistics, regression, experimentation, and causal or pre/post analysis while explaining assumptions and limitations.
- Collaborate with analytics, product, data, engineering, and commercial partners, using AI productivity tools to improve delivery and analysis depth.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience using SQL and Python, R, or a similar programming language to analyze, structure, transform, and visualize large datasets.
- Knowledge of probability, descriptive statistics, regression, pre/post analysis, A/B testing, or causal impact analysis.
- Ability to combine data sources, perform data quality checks, and write efficient, shareable code that can be reused in data pipelines.
- Ability to explain analytical methods, caveats, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Senior Manager-level audiences.
- Curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving ability, business acumen, and a collaborative approach.
