TL;DR
MechE Lead (3D Printing): Prototyping mechanical structures and analyzing electromechanical systems for 3D printing products with an accent on CAD-driven modeling, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and mass-production readiness. Focus on leading the team, validating designs, optimizing part cost and performance, and solving complex mechanical engineering challenges.

Location: Shenzhen, China; onsite role

What you will do

  • Prototype new mechanical structures and test material properties for 3D printing applications.
  • Analyze, test, validate, and iterate electromechanical systems.
  • Guide designs from prototyping through mass production.
  • Design manufacturing fixtures, jigs, and parts for machining, injection molding, and die casting.
  • Optimize part cost and performance while investigating technical challenges.
  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team.

Requirements

  • Experience in team management.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and online design tools similar to Onshape or SolidWorks PDM.
  • Experience with parametric 3D modeling driven by master sketch parameters.
  • Expertise in engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to create detailed process assembly drawings and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in spoken English.
