Software Engineering Lead (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end software architecture for 3D printers and post-processing equipment, including embedded firmware interfaces, device control, application, and cloud layers.
• Lead the design and development of reliable real-time software for motion control, thermal management, and sensor integration on Linux-based embedded systems.
• Drive user-facing software development across desktop applications, web interfaces, and mobile apps for device control, print management, and monitoring.
• Establish software engineering practices covering architecture, testing, CI/CD pipelines, code review, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Hardware and Product teams to define system requirements and ensure hardware-software integration.
• Build, mentor, and manage the software engineering team while overseeing the software development lifecycle and release quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including 2 or more years in technical leadership or team management.
• Strong C/C++ development experience for real-time or performance-critical systems and embedded Linux environments.
• Experience designing software architecture for complex electromechanical devices and working with protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, or Modbus.
• Experience with version control, code review, CI/CD, and software testing, along with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Good command of English is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT, robotics, CNC, or 3D printers.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Qt, React, or other UI frameworks.
• Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies.
• Experience in rapidly growing startup environments.
