Firmware Engineer (BIOS)

Location: Kunshan, China. The role requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in China and may involve business travel and on-site customer support.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain BIOS functional modules for desktop, mobile, and server platforms.
• Analyze and troubleshoot firmware issues independently.
• Contribute to the definition and development of new BIOS features.
• Support regular releases, maintenance, and customer projects for major OEMs and internet companies.
• Port and adapt BIOS modules for mainstream Intel and AMD platforms.
• Provide on-site support when requested by customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of UEFI BIOS development experience; Lenovo or DELL project experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of x86 architecture and related protocols, including PCIe, USB, and ACPI.
• Understanding of UEFI BIOS principles and architecture, including AMI or EDKII.
• Proficiency in C programming and familiarity with BIOS debugging methods and Intel and AMD desktop and mobile chipsets.
• Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to conduct basic spoken communication; right to work in China is required.
