Software Architect (Cloud/Distributed Systems) (Cloud, Kubernetes, Distributed Systems): Designing the architecture and infrastructure for a PMT platform or toolchain with an accent on scalable distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and engineering standards. Focus on defining system boundaries and service contracts, implementing CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, establishing non-functional requirements, and leading code reviews, mentoring, and incident response.

What you will do
- Own the software architecture for the PMT platform or toolchain, including system boundaries, modules, service contracts, data models, and integrations.
- Design and evolve cloud infrastructure, networking, container orchestration, observability, and deployment pipelines.
- Lead technical decisions, document architecture decisions, and establish standards for code quality, testing, APIs, security, and performance.
- Define and monitor SLAs and SLOs covering availability, scalability, security, performance, and operability.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and raise the engineering team’s technical capability.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and architectural improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in architecture or technical leadership.
- Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems or cloud-native applications and coding in multiple languages such as Java, Go, Python, C#, or TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes, Docker; CI/CD; infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven and serverless architectures, REST, gRPC, GraphQL, databases, message queues, caching, observability, security, and disaster recovery.
- Fluent English and required Chinese; strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, mentoring, and analytical skills.
