Quality Engineer (3D Printing Hardware)

Location: Shenzhen, China; up to 40% travel, primarily in the Pearl River Delta

What you will do

• Develop and execute quality systems and plans for new and existing 3D printing hardware.
• Drive quality activities during early NPI stages, including EVT and customized APQP qualification.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and manufacturing partners to support product development and launches.
• Establish quality control and sub-tier supplier qualification processes across the supply chain.
• Analyze data, lead DOE and failure analysis, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Build quality management processes from scratch and promote continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering; an overseas degree is advantageous.
• 8+ years of hardware quality engineering experience, preferably in consumer electronics, robotics, or a related industry.
• Experience with complex electromechanical systems, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience with JMP, Minitab, or other statistical software, plus quality tools such as FMEA and Control Plans.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.
• Startup mindset, ownership, self-motivation, and willingness to travel up to 40%.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as IATF.
• SQL or Python experience.
