Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 180,200–270,200 base pay range; an additional Canadian base pay range of CAD 138,000–208,000 is also listed. The role may include bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Design and build core machine learning systems for production AI agents.
• Develop LLM-powered agent frameworks, including RAG pipelines, workflow orchestration, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Own the full lifecycle from problem framing and data strategy through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable, observable, explainable, and enterprise-ready model-serving systems.
• Integrate AI agents into the hirify.global platform in partnership with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
• Apply agentic architecture techniques to solve customer challenges at global scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating applied machine learning products at scale across research, design, implementation, production, and evaluation.
• 2+ years of professional experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• 3+ years of experience building production services that host machine learning models at scale.
• 1+ year of experience with large language models, text generation models, or graph neural networks in real-world use cases.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or an equivalent field; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of statistical analysis, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, or recommendation systems.
• Experience independently solving ambiguous problems and technically leading teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
