Project Engineering Manager (Energy)

Location: Hybrid (remote/office) in Bucharest, Romania, with travel to customers, sites, and third parties for up to 25% of the time

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams for power plant and hydrogen projects, including EPC projects for combined-cycle power plants and hydrogen plants.
• Coordinate technical matters with customers, consultants, authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Integrate and mentor specialists across electrical, controls and instrumentation, process, mechanical, piping, civil, and plant layout engineering.
• Build cohesive engineering teams and align objectives across bids and project execution.
• Identify and manage engineering risks and opportunities while ensuring compliance with technical contract and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in mechanical, electrical, process engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of industry-specific experience, including 5 years in technical project management.
• Experience with power plants and equipment; power generation, transmission, distribution, and preferably EPC markets.
• Ability to lead globally distributed engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
• Willingness to work on-site with customers, at project sites, and with third parties for limited periods of up to 25%.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.
