Senior Applied AI Engineer

What you will do

• Own AI capabilities end to end, from problem definition, research, and system design through deployment and continuous improvement.
• Develop and improve core algorithms using classical machine learning, statistical methods, and LLM-based systems.
• Build production-grade AI agents for performance marketing, market research, and auto-ML.
• Turn research prototypes into maintainable software with reusable modules, data pipelines, automated tests, and robust deployment practices.
• Monitor production behavior and improve system accuracy, reliability, latency, and cost as usage and data volumes grow.
• Lead technical decisions and initiatives, collaborate with product and engineering, review designs and code, and mentor teammates.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning, plus 2+ years in ML engineering or software engineering.
• Experience owning significant AI products or features from ambiguous initial concepts through production use.
• Strong foundations in machine learning and statistics, including experimental design, model evaluation, NLP, embeddings, clustering, or related unstructured-data methods.
• Strong Python, SQL, and TypeScript skills, with experience in modular architecture, automated testing, version control, code reviews, and maintainable production code.
• Hands-on experience with production LLM applications or AI agents, cloud deployment, containerization, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and debugging.

Nice to have

• Technical experience at a high-growth startup, including building and scaling new products.
• Experience in advertising technology, marketing analytics, search, information retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with ADK, LangChain, or comparable agent frameworks and SDKs.
• Experience building systems requiring traceability, explainability, approval workflows, and reliable execution.
