Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: Remote-first, accepting candidates residing in Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, or Ukraine

Salary: €6,500–€9,000 gross per month, depending on experience

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services, Kubernetes operators, and controllers in Go across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Solve infrastructure-layer problems involving networking, scheduling, storage, compute, and container runtime internals.
• Build and maintain high-throughput gRPC and REST services and asynchronous orchestration workflows.
• Develop multi-cloud provisioning, node lifecycle management, live container migration, or storage optimization capabilities.
• Shape public and internal APIs and improve AI-powered development workflows.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, on-call rotations, and customer deep-dives.

Requirements

• Strong backend fundamentals and production-grade coding experience, preferably with Go.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Clear English communication and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Strong ownership and bias toward action.
• Must reside in one of the listed eligible European countries.
• Visa sponsorship and work permit support are not provided.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of EKS, GKE, or AKS internals.
• Low-level Linux experience with process internals, networking, filesystems, or storage.
• Experience with Kubernetes or cloud-native open-source contributions.
• Experience with CRI-O, runc, containerd, CRIU, CSI, block storage, or filesystem internals.
• Experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.
