Senior Project Purchaser (Quantum Computing)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace. Flexible remote work is available for up to 40% of the month.

Alice & Bob is an early-stage quantum computing startup developing a fault-tolerant universal quantum computer based on superconducting cat qubits.

What you will do

• Define procurement needs with Experiments, Engineering, and other internal teams.
• Identify and evaluate suitable technical solutions for infrastructure projects spanning nanofabrication and cryogenics.
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet budget, timeline, and technical roadmap requirements.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and expand the supplier network.
• Improve procurement processes within an agile and rapidly evolving organization.
• Monitor the market for advanced and cost-effective equipment and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in an industrial or technology environment.
• Deep knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques in highly technical sectors.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, organization, and communication skills.
• Proactive and autonomous working style with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Fluency in French and English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience purchasing control electronics and RF/microwave test and measurement equipment.
• Experience in aerospace and defense, telecommunications, or semiconductor test environments.
