Product Manager (Connected Devices & Vehicle Data)

Location: Hybrid work from the Riga office at Ojāra Vācieša iela 6B and partly from home; work outside Latvia is possible for up to 90 days per year.

Salary: €3,500–€5,500 gross per month, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the connected-device and vehicle-data ecosystem.
• Define investments across hirify.global-developed hardware, third-party devices, vehicle integrations, data capabilities, and emerging technologies.
• Manage the device lifecycle, including configuration, firmware and software updates, compatibility, monitoring, deployment, replacement, and end-of-life.
• Drive reliable large-scale connectivity through SIM/eSIM, roaming, coverage, data consumption, and cost management.
• Lead build-versus-buy, vendor, technology, and prioritization decisions based on strategic value, reliability, scalability, cost, and time to market.
• Align Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Operations, commercial teams, and external hardware and connectivity partners.

Requirements

• Experience owning a product, platform, technology area, or complex technical capability.
• Ability to develop a structured point of view in an ambiguous technical domain and turn it into a strategy and roadmap.
• Strong product thinking combined with technical depth in areas such as IoT, automotive technology, embedded systems, telecommunications, or solutions engineering.
• Ability to discuss architecture, technical constraints, dependencies, trade-offs, reliability, maintainability, lifecycle, and unit economics with engineers.
• Ability to lead through influence, make prioritization decisions, and communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English required; English is the common working language across hirify.global’s international locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with telematics, IoT, or large fleets of connected devices.
• Embedded hardware, firmware, device configuration, or update-management experience.
• Knowledge of CAN bus, FMS, OBD, J1939, or other vehicle communication protocols.
• Experience with SIM/eSIM, cellular connectivity, roaming, IoT connectivity platforms, hardware vendors, or hardware product lifecycles.
• Experience with platform capabilities, APIs, R&D-to-production initiatives, logistics, transportation, mobility, or fleet management.
