Underground Mining Expert (Gold Mining)

Nordgold is looking for an Underground Mining Expert for our mine to drive operational excellence through the development and implementation of high-quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The goal is to integrate international best practices and rigorous safety standards into our underground gold mining operations.
We are looking for candidates with knowledge of English and French.

Key Responsibilities:
SOP Development & Optimization: Designing technical, paper, and video SOPs; creating scoring models to evaluate operational efficiency and KPI stability.
Continuous Improvement: Participating in Kaizen teams to analyze mining operations and proposing solutions to eliminate non-conformities.
Training & Mentorship: Providing expert/methodological support for mentor certification and training personnel (Nordgold & contractors) using the three-stage methodology.
Auditing & Compliance: Conducting operational audits, monitoring corrective actions, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and technical regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Maintaining effective communication with all project stakeholders and managing technical documentation.

Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Mining Engineering.
Experience: 2+ years in underground mining (drilling, blasting, loading, and mine development).
Skills: Expertise in employee training, advanced MS Office, and fluency in English and French.
Mindset: Strong commitment to safety, ability to work in remote/challenging environments, and excellent interpersonal skills.
