Software Developer – Production Engineering (Java)

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, measure, and maintain production services with end-to-end ownership.
• Build and evolve core framework code and real-time recommendation infrastructure.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and logging to detect and resolve performance issues.
• Develop high-scale systems such as recommendation servers, cluster management capabilities, Kafka consumers, metrics pipelines, and authentication services.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams and use Gen-AI tools to accelerate development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming experience with Java or an equivalent object-oriented language.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems and understanding production infrastructure.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and concurrent or multithreaded programming.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, plus strong Linux proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data tools.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data mining, and machine learning.
