TL;DR
Medical Information Specialist (Medical Communications): Delivering drug information, medical writing, adverse event intake, and product complaint support for healthcare professionals and patients with an accent on clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and multilingual communication. Focus on triaging medical inquiries, assessing safety information, developing written responses, and coordinating quality-related complaints during European working hours.

Location: Home office or European hub office, ideally in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. . European working hours are 8am–6pm CET, Monday–Friday.

What you will do

  • Respond to drug information inquiries from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, healthcare professionals, and patients by phone and in writing.
  • Translate English documents and responses into the target language and vice versa.
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints, collect the required information, and prepare compliant initial reports.
  • Write adverse event narratives and customized medical inquiry responses.
  • Research medical literature and develop accurate written information for healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate quality-related complaints with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and complainants, while supporting medical writing and related projects.

Requirements

  • Life Sciences or healthcare degree, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong clinical background with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • English at C1 level is required.
  • Strong translation skills and the ability to assess safety information accurately.
  • Ability to work European hours and travel up to 10% when required.
  • Medical information, pharmaceutical, clinical, call center, or medical writing experience is preferred.

Nice to have

  • PharmD, MPharm, MSc, BSc, or equivalent education in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, anatomy and physiology, health science, or human science.
  • Experience with medical information management systems, safety databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows applications.
