Senior Accountant

Location: Budapest, Váci Greens, Hungary; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: HUF 9,120,000–12,160,000.

What you will do

• Deliver general ledger monthly closing and reporting services according to the Group timetable.
• Review automated postings, close accounts payable and accounts receivable sub-ledgers, and close balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts.
• Collect recurring and non-recurring items, reconcile accounts, and post manual journal entries.
• Prepare management, tax, legal, statutory, ad-hoc reports and business analyses at Group and country levels.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, audit and SOX requirements, global processes, and operational KPIs.
• Identify process improvements, participate in automation initiatives, coach junior analysts, and document A2R process knowledge.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in accounting or finance.
• Proven experience in general ledger accounting, closing, and reporting, preferably in an international multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs.
• Strong problem-solving, deductive, analytical, and business skills.
• Fluent English required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Budapest.

• Knowledge of German.
• Experience with process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
