Director Hardware Portfolio Management (Hardware)

What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term strategy for the hardware portfolio.
• Make portfolio decisions based on market opportunities, customer needs, financial performance, and business impact.
• Prioritize investments and allocate resources to maximize portfolio value and return on investment.
• Lead portfolio simplification, lifecycle management, modularization, and complexity-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to translate market insights into portfolio strategies.
• Lead, coach, and develop a commercially focused team of Product Managers.

Requirements

• Strong business and commercial background with knowledge of economics, portfolio management, and investment decisions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and experience driving growth, competitiveness, and business performance.
• Experience working with Sales and Marketing organizations to bring products to market.
• Data-driven approach to decisions involving financial and commercial impact.
• Strong technical affinity and interest in hardware products without requiring engineering specialization.
• Ability to drive innovation, challenge established approaches, and inspire teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in Business Development, Management Consulting, startup environments, or entrepreneurial roles.
• Leadership experience.
