Applications Engineer (Mining Technology)

Location: Hybrid position in Milton, Queensland, Australia; travel requirements below 15%.

What you will do

• Provide technical customer support using updates, testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Diagnose root causes, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs within SLA timeframes.
• Connect to customer sites to verify and reproduce problems and resolve system issues through daytime telephone support.
• Open and manage support tickets for issues requiring action, code changes, or more than 30 minutes of support time.
• Identify and develop customer-specific customizations, including reports, and document functionality clearly.
• Collaborate across business units, support customer services colleagues, and follow customer support, safety, and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of computing languages such as C, C++, SQL, and/or scripting languages.
• Knowledge of mining operations is preferred.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Milton, Queensland position and comply with customer-site requirements.
