Financial Analyst II (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at the San Diego Headquarters or another company location in the United States; remote work requires management approval based on business requirements.

Salary: $60,987–$100,628 annually, with a listed midpoint of $80,808.

What you will do

• Prepare, maintain, validate, and distribute recurring financial reporting packages for Finance leadership, business owners, executives, and internal stakeholders.
• Support month-end close, forecasting, annual budgeting, five-year planning, variance analysis, and business commentary.
• Analyze income statement, balance sheet, revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, client profitability, and financial performance drivers.
• Build and maintain financial models, KPI reports, dashboards, reporting schedules, and executive or board reporting materials.
• Use Hyperion EPM to retrieve, reconcile, analyze, and report financial results, while investigating data quality issues and reporting anomalies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, support external audits, present findings, and provide process guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree with 3+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with FP&A, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, month-end close, or related finance and accounting functions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with large datasets, financial reporting hierarchies, account structures, cost centers, operational drivers, and financial models.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be able to work on-site in the San Diego area or another company location; remote work is subject to management approval.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperion EPM, Oracle EPM Cloud, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View, or similar enterprise performance management tools.
• Experience with client-level profitability reporting, KPI dashboards, external audit support, or healthcare-related financial analysis.
