Accountant (Banking)

What you will do

• Prepare financial schedules and analysis for SEC and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare supporting documentation for journal entries during month-end, quarter-end, and annual close.
• Perform operational accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, transaction analysis, and inter-company accounting.
• Support legal entity accounting, including customer payment application and revenue recognition.
• Work with management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies on accounting and SOX requirements.
• Provide accounting support for assigned departmental projects and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in accounting, finance, general ledger management, public reporting, analysis, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Introductory knowledge of applicable SEC rules and regulations.
• Intermediate understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
