Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant - Part Time (Optical Care)

What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and perform patient testing before the doctor’s examination.
• Complete patient paperwork, referral forms, follow-up documentation, and accurate medical records.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult doctors, opticians, or retail management when needed.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Maintain examination equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals according to established procedures.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology, knowledge, and procedures.
• Ability to give customers clear and concise instructions.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
