What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings, preliminary examinations, and vision tests before the optometrist examination.
• Complete patient paperwork and explain preliminary examination procedures clearly.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when needed.
• Maintain patient flow, a professional pre-test environment, and properly functioning equipment.

Requirements

• Fluent reading and speaking in English and Spanish required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and explain instructions clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented and professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
