Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in New York City, United States; flexible remote or hybrid work options are also mentioned.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000; a separate benefits section lists $140,000–$160,000.

hirify.global is building a national medical imaging network that connects patients, providers, and payers with faster diagnostic imaging.

What you will do

• Build and maintain tested, documented dbt models that transform raw source data into reliable analytical assets.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, and other stakeholders to define precise analytical deliverables.
• Design and ship Tableau dashboards and data products that replace manual reporting with automated outputs.
• Develop Python ingestion pipelines and model new data sources across systems such as Postgres, HubSpot, Front, Acuity, Dialpad, and advertising platforms.
• Maintain warehouse data quality through dbt tests, anomaly monitoring, source definitions, documentation, macros, and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to data science and engineering initiatives, including ML feature preparation and predictive modeling.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, multi-stage transformations, and query performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or SQLMesh, including model DAGs, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery and a BI tool such as Tableau, Metabase, Sigma, or Omni.
• Python experience for ingestion, transformation, or automation workflows.
• Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business questions into data-model logic.
• AI-native approach: experience shipping, automating, or prototyping real work with LLMs, agents, or AI tooling, with sound judgment around human oversight and patient data.
