Software Engineer (Datacenter)

Location: Hybrid work model with on-site attendance at assigned Intel sites in Santa Clara, California, or Phoenix, Arizona, United States. US citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

Annual salary: $100,550–$141,950 USD.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications for end users and third-party integrations.
• Contribute to frontend and backend development using modern programming languages and secure coding practices.
• Write functional and test code, automate build and deployment processes, and perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze user stories, translate requirements into software solutions, and collaborate on infrastructure planning.
• Document product installation and maintenance procedures and interact with end users to define system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with at least one year of hands-on software development experience, or a relevant master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Familiarity with Linux shells and command-line interfaces.
• Ability to work under a hybrid model with on-site attendance at an assigned US site.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible, Cobbler, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems, preferably SUSE.
• Exposure to Elastic, Kibana, or Grafana monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S networking protocols.
• Familiarity with Java or C++.
