Product Marketing Manager, Special Projects (AI)

Location: Hybrid role with at least 2 days per week in the San Francisco office; roles are generally expected to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time. New York City is also listed as a role location. Relocation flexibility may be considered for an interim period.

What you will do

• Own go-to-market strategy for a rotating portfolio of special projects, from positioning and messaging through launch execution and enablement.
• Develop differentiated narratives for new AI capabilities and initiatives where no established market category or language exists.
• Translate complex technical subjects, including safety and safeguards, into clear messaging for developers, enterprise buyers, and the broader ecosystem.
• Lead launch programs by defining plans, timelines, and workstreams while aligning product, research, communications, demand generation, and sales stakeholders.
• Create messaging frameworks, narratives, FAQs, enablement content, and other source-of-truth launch materials.
• Build repeatable frameworks and playbooks while providing market and competitive insight to Product and Research leaders.

Requirements

• Product marketing background with exceptional writing, positioning, narrative, and copywriting skills.
• Experience personally managing complex, multi-stakeholder launches end to end.
• Ability to quickly understand technical subject matter and communicate accurately with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously, make judgment calls in ambiguous situations, and collaborate across functions without formal authority.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office at least 2 days per week and from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of product marketing experience in B2B or enterprise software.
• Experience marketing AI/ML products, developer platforms, or infrastructure.
• Experience with trust, safety, security, or regulatory-focused products.
• Experience launching products or capabilities that created a new market category.
• Experience in special projects, launch lead, fixer, or high-growth technology roles.
