Associate Director, Innovation (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid with a minimum of three days onsite per week in North Chicago, Illinois or South San Francisco, California; 25% travel required.

Salary: $141,500–$268,500 per year, plus eligible benefits and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end strategic innovation and execution for high-priority commercial assets.
• Partner with asset strategy and content-focused teams across drug development, manufacturing, trial design, evidence evaluation, and clinical operations.
• Lead modules within complex cross-functional initiatives, including problem solving, research, analytics, and management recommendations.
• Support strategic initiatives addressing mission-critical business questions.
• Monitor and prioritize external trends and recommend how hirify.global should respond.
• Communicate strategy across the organization and support alignment among senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; an advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or MBA is highly preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a master’s degree, or 2 years with a doctorate.
• Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed pharmaceutical organization.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings with mid- and senior-level management.
• Ability to engage senior leadership, drive strategic alignment, and facilitate decision-making on critical issues.
• Capability building and change management skills, including empathy and coaching for stakeholder buy-in.

Nice to have

• Professional consulting experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience in biopharma strategic innovation and commercial asset planning.
