AI/ML Engineer

What you will do

• Architect, build, and operate enterprise-scale data products using structured and unstructured engineering information.
• Develop reliable batch and near-real-time pipelines with orchestration, observability, alerting, checkpointing, and recovery.
• Build production RAG systems and agentic AI workflows that combine semantic retrieval, structured data, tools, validation, and cited responses.
• Develop and evaluate embedding, document-understanding, and multimodal inference workflows while balancing quality, latency, scalability, and cost.
• Lead cloud architecture, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and secure deployments across environments.
• Improve production reliability through incident investigation, profiling, capacity planning, data governance, lineage, and analytics experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience building and operating production software, data, or machine learning systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in APIs, software testing, data analysis, and distributed data processing.
• Professional experience with cloud platforms, managed data services, object storage, containers, and GCP.
• Hands-on experience applying large language models in production, including prompt design, structured outputs, tool use, evaluation, embeddings, vector retrieval, and RAG architecture.
• Experience with software engineering practices including testing, code review, version control, CI/CD, observability, secure development, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, job scheduling, artificial intelligence, expert systems, and scalable data pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks, managed generative AI, model serving, batch inference, or vector databases.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, automated cloud delivery, complex technical documents, legacy formats, or technical diagrams.
• Background in automotive, manufacturing, safety-critical, systems engineering, or another regulated technical domain.
• Experience building analytics dashboards, developer-facing tools, data collection and integrity processes, or data conversion systems.
• Experience with Java or relevant certification.
