TL;DR
Employment, Litigation and GRC Counsel (Labor and Employment Law): Supporting employment legal matters, litigation, compliance programs, and internal investigations across the Americas with an accent on Mexico operations, workforce changes, and cross-functional HR guidance. Focus on analyzing employment law, managing claims and investigations, supporting transactions, and identifying legal and compliance risks across multiple jurisdictions.
Location: On-site in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, or Troy, Michigan, United States; occasional travel and collaboration across multiple time zones required.

What you will do
- Support labor and employment legal matters across the Americas, with a primary focus on Mexico operations.
- Advise Human Resources and business stakeholders on employee relations, hiring, discipline, separations, policies, and compliance.
- Draft, review, and revise employment agreements, policies, procedures, communications, and training materials.
- Support workforce changes, reorganizations, integrations, mergers, acquisitions, and related employment due diligence.
- Assist with employment claims, administrative charges, litigation, pre-litigation disputes, internal investigations, and outside counsel coordination.
- Administer compliance programs, ethics-helpline matters, risk assessments, legal records, matter tracking, and departmental metrics.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an attorney advising organizations on labor and employment matters.
- Licensed to practice law in Mexico.
- Experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, employment litigation, compliance, policy interpretation, and employment documentation.
- Experience supporting Human Resources, business stakeholders, administrative agency charges, internal investigations, and outside counsel management.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English and Spanish; on-site work in Ciudad Juarez or Troy is required.
