Business Technology Architect (Manufacturing)

Location: Preferred hiring locations include Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and the NYC area; Conditions list Atlanta and Tampa.

Salary: $98,497–$281,842 base compensation per year, with possible additional variable compensation, bonuses, or commissions.

What you will do

• Own the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise architecture solutions, capability roadmaps, target-state architectures, and reference architectures.
• Advise CIOs, CTOs, COOs, plant leaders, and operations executives on technology and architecture direction.
• Lead architecture strategy for Smart Factory, MES/MOM modernization, ERP, PLM, and connected supply chain programs.
• Drive OT/IT convergence by integrating plant-floor systems, IIoT platforms, edge computing, and enterprise data environments.
• Serve as Design Authority across applications, data platforms, integration layers, and operational technology.
• Support vendor assessments, RFPs, executive workshops, strategic pursuits, and collaboration with SAP, Siemens, PTC, Rockwell, and hyperscaler partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior technology leadership, including manufacturing or industrial exposure.
• Experience working with executive and operational stakeholders in large, complex manufacturing organizations.
• Strong background in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as integration, data platforms, APIs, and IIoT ecosystems.
• Experience leading architecture teams or cross-functional initiatives across IT and OT environments.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, MES/MOM, PLM tools, ISA-95, Industry 4.0, OT/IT convergence, industrial networking, edge computing, or TOGAF is valued.

• Consulting or advisory experience supporting large-scale digital or operational transformation programs.
• Commercial and growth experience shaping strategic pursuits and new opportunities.
• Experience with Teamcenter, Windchill, Siemens, PTC, Rockwell, or hyperscaler ecosystems.
