Post Closing Investor Team Lead (Mortgage)

What you will do

• Manage daily tasks, loan assignments, workload balancing, and production activities for the Post Closing Team.
• Serve as the first-level escalation point for file reviews, loan-level decisions, investor conditions, exceptions, and team questions.
• Monitor investor portals, condition reports, suspended loans, warehouse-line timelines, and purchase pipelines.
• Track team metrics, documentation accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and monthly purchased-loan goals.
• Coach employees, support onboarding and training, and report team performance and loan status to management.
• Identify process improvements, clarify acceptable defect cures with investors, and help prevent suspense fees and curtailment risk.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in a post-closing role and 2 years in a team lead or senior post-closing role.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, agency and investor guidelines, overlays, loan programs, investor conditions, and exceptions.
• Strong communication, customer service, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Encompass is preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Must be based in the United States for this remote role.
