Product Engineer Interns (AI)

Location: On-site in Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Salary: $25 per hour in Atlanta, GA; final compensation depends on qualifications, expertise, and geographical location.

What you will do

• Own a scoped product problem for a defined customer group during the 10-week internship.
• Participate in customer discovery conversations and translate findings into defensible product decisions.
• Define user experience flows and interaction patterns within an existing design system.
• Write intent documents, review AI-generated specifications, and build working prototypes with AI-native tooling.
• Partner with engineering and product mentors to resolve ambiguity and track adoption and usage metrics.
• Present the customer problem, delivered product, findings, and next steps in a final intern showcase.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems, product design, HCI, business, or a related field, or equivalent self-directed experience.
• Genuine curiosity about customers, product outcomes, and why products succeed or fail.
• Strong written communication and the ability to clearly explain product decisions.
• Comfort making reasonable decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to develop code fluency using AI-native tooling; prior developer experience is not required.
• Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to product management, UX design, software development, or customer research through coursework, projects, internships, or side work.
• Familiarity with Figma or development tooling.
