Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Digital Native Business

Location: San Francisco Bay Area-focused; candidates should be based in the area, willing to relocate to the United States, or able to travel to the area at least one week per month. The role is associated with Seattle, Washington, and requires 20% travel to customers.

Salary: $182,000–$250,208 USD annually, with potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and productionize end-to-end data, AI, and application solutions for customer projects.
• Design reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion systems, and ML/AI model integrations.
• Lead architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and platform best practices.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders, from technical contributors to executives, to understand challenges and drive adoption.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineering, support, and customer teams to deliver technical engagement components.
• Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices while providing product and implementation feedback.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
• Programming experience with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including Spark runtime internals.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs, and production end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients, managing scope and timelines, documenting solutions, and handling stakeholder conflicts; Databricks Certification required.
