Director, AI Native Operations (AI)

Location: Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the office with no remote option. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally may be required.

Salary: $164,000–$282,900 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Establish, scale, and sustain the AI-Native Discovery operating model.
• Lead operational management of discovery portfolios across biologics, small molecules, data, AI, and automation.
• Develop integrated plans, budgets, resource forecasts, risk management processes, and investment portfolios.
• Coordinate milestones covering talent acquisition, data infrastructure, automation implementation, and external partnerships.
• Monitor program performance, develop mitigation plans, and provide reporting to executive leadership and funding governance committees.
• Drive cross-functional transformation across scientific, digital, automation, data, and business functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, technology-enabled research, or a related field.
• Experience leading large-scale cross-functional transformation initiatives and organizational change.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery, R&D operations, portfolio management, data governance, and digital product management.
• Experience implementing digital, AI/ML, automation, or advanced analytics capabilities in scientific environments.
• Strong financial management, executive stakeholder, matrix leadership, communication, and external partnership skills.
