Operational Program Director / 245D Designated Manager (Disability Support Services)

Location: Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, USA; programs in the Washington/Ramsey County, MN area. The role includes on-call responsibilities, direct-care shifts, community transportation, lifting, and transfers.

Salary: $65,000–$66,787.50 annually. A $5,000 retention bonus is offered; current hirify.global employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate programs serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and autism.
• Supervise staff and ensure direct-service shifts are covered by qualified, oriented, and trained employees.
• Provide direct care when needed, normally for no more than 16 hours per week.
• Remain available for emergency calls and coordinate coverage with someone of comparable authority when arranged in advance.
• Support individual, program, and staff needs through a flexible full-time schedule.

Requirements

• Designated Manager status meeting Minnesota 245D licensing requirements is required.
• Three years of experience supervising staff in the human services field.
• A valid United States driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle background check, liability vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide personal care, lift and transfer individuals, and transport people served in the community.
• Strong decision-making, time-management, communication, responsibility, and flexibility skills.
• Minimum age of 18; some children’s foster-care programs require a minimum age of 21 under Minnesota requirements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or a related field.
