Area Safety & Quality Officer (Healthcare)

Location: Modesto, CA; 100% onsite

Salary: $216,700–$255,000 per year plus a 20% target bonus

What you will do

• Lead quality and patient safety programs across two hospitals.
• Oversee clinical quality improvement, risk management, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Monitor quality metrics and use trends to drive performance improvement.
• Lead regulatory, accreditation, audit, and survey readiness activities.
• Oversee patient safety event investigations and corrective action plans.
• Partner with physicians, clinical teams, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• Director-level or above leadership experience.
• Experience leading a Quality Department.
• Strong inpatient hospital experience.
• Experience overseeing quality programs across multiple hospitals or service areas.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
