Senior Medical Director, Oncology Life Sciences Research

Location: Remote - Illinois

Salary: $270,000–$350,000 annually; actual compensation may vary by location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Build long-term clinical strategies for life sciences accounts using multimodal real-world data, agentic AI tools, and clinical trial acceleration solutions.
• Act as the primary clinical partner for biopharma Clinical Directors, Medical Affairs leaders, and Translational Medicine executives.
• Create indication-specific materials covering standards of care, biomarker testing patterns, unmet clinical needs, and client pipeline assets.
• Analyze drug pipelines, clinical trial readouts, investor materials, and medical conference updates to develop actionable client insights.
• Advise biopharma partners on trial protocol design, cohort selection, and synthetic control arms.
• Serve as an internal oncology subject matter expert and communicate complex scientific and clinical solutions to client and executive audiences.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• Strong clinical focus in Gastrointestinal or Breast cancers is highly preferred.
• Experience analyzing biopharma drug pipelines, understanding clinical trial design and regulatory pathways, and applying real-world datasets including NGS and clinical data.
• Track record of building trusted relationships with biopharma leadership and leading complex enterprise initiatives.
• Ability to present complex scientific and clinical information to executive client teams.
