Global Controller (Healthcare)

Location: Chicago, IL, USA; office-based role

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across global entities and oversee internal and outsourced accounting functions.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, systems, controls, budgets, and the global close calendar.
• Serve as a technical accounting resource for ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
• Oversee global consolidations, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, project accounting, and financial reporting.
• Design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, coordinate audits, and support SOX compliance.
• Lead accounting system implementations, process automation, M&A due diligence, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 12–15+ years of accounting experience, including significant experience in multinational companies with revenue of $100M or more.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, especially in ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 805 business combinations, and ASC 842 leases.
• Experience with multi-currency consolidations, foreign currency translation, international statutory reporting, internal controls, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience with complex spreadsheets, ERP systems, and accounting systems.

Nice to have

• Public accounting or private equity experience.
• M&A, due diligence, and purchase price experience.
• Experience operating in a SOX 404-compliant environment.
• Experience leading ERP implementations and finance process automation.
