Salary: $82,950–$115,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.

What you will do

  • Coordinate operational, compliance, and risk-related processes across scientific, engineering, user-facing, project, and institutional teams.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, due diligence, mitigation or acceptance activities, documentation, and action tracking.
  • Maintain operational records, tracking systems, procedures, work instructions, forms, templates, and guidance.
  • Develop digital workflows and automated business processes using Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365.
  • Coordinate reports and dashboards for performance monitoring, trend analysis, and decision-making.
  • Support operational reviews, corrective actions, institutional requirements, continuous improvement initiatives, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, communication, technical writing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least four years of relevant experience supporting scientific, engineering, technical, research, or facility operations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across scientific, engineering, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

  • Experience with due diligence, risk assessment, requirements implementation, risk mitigation, or risk acceptance.
  • Experience with operational reviews, requirements management, process improvement, business process automation, metrics, reporting, or dashboards.
  • Experience in a DOE national laboratory, user facility, federally funded research organization, or university research environment.
