Paralegal

Location: Hybrid role requiring office time in Bloomington, Illinois, or Chicago, Illinois; applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately.

Salary: $56,000–$84,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Assist the Litigation Unit with investigations, discovery, and factual research.
• Communicate and work directly with clients.
• Support litigation-related projects and case activities.
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work independently and collaboratively with the legal team.

Requirements

• Prior paralegal experience, a paralegal degree or certificate, relevant coursework, or a legal studies degree.
• Experience and understanding of working in a legal environment.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Technical proficiency with databases, electronic document management, case management software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Immediate lawful eligibility to work in the United States; employer sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• 3 or more years of civil litigation experience.
