Legal Assistant (Civil Litigation)

Location: Remote (Must have experience with California state, federal, and appellate court filings)

Salary: $38 - $46 per hour

What you will do

• Format pleadings and correspondence and handle e-filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts.
• Prepare Table of Contents and Table of Authorities for motions.
• Schedule depositions, hearings, and conference calls while docketing case deadlines.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw.
• Coordinate attorney travel and provide general administrative support.
• Assist with trial preparation and maintain organized document management systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Experience with state, federal, and appellate court filings in California.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation rules and calendar deadlines.
• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
