Zero Trust Identity and ICAM Engineer Mid Level (Cybersecurity)

Location: Must be located in the DC Metro Area; hybrid role requiring onsite and remote support in the US.

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead Zero Trust Architecture assessments, gap analyses, roadmaps, and implementation planning for federal clients.
• Design and document solutions across identity, device, network, application/workload, and data pillars.
• Design conditional access, privileged access, MFA, RBAC, JIT PAM, PIV, and CAC authentication controls.
• Implement ZTNA, SASE, microsegmentation, DNS security, endpoint compliance, EDR/XDR, and application access policies.
• Integrate identity, endpoint, network, cloud, and data protection technologies across enterprise and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Support federal stakeholders with architecture artifacts, executive briefings, technical papers, RMF documentation, and audit evidence.

Requirements

• Must be located in the DC Metro Area and able to provide onsite and remote support.
• At least 5 years of cybersecurity engineering, network security, or IT infrastructure experience, including 2 years designing or implementing Zero Trust Architecture.
• Experience supporting federal government, DoD, or civilian agency environments and knowledge of NIST SP 800-207 and the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.
• Deep expertise in at least one of Palo Alto Prisma, Zscaler, or the Microsoft Zero Trust stack.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, MFA, PAM, PIV/PIV-I smartcard credentials, and Entra Certificate Based Authentication.
• Experience designing and operating Intercede MyID CMS Enterprise, including enrollment, certificate provisioning, renewal, revocation, and PKI integration.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as PCCSE, PCNSE, Zscaler ZCCA, Microsoft SC-100, CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud security certifications.
• Experience with RMF, SSP authoring, ATO packages, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or federal IT service management.
• Multi-vendor Zero Trust integration experience, including Palo Alto and Zscaler platforms.
