Head of Information Security / Identity and Access Management

Location: Jersey City, United States

Salary: $200,000–$260,000 annual base salary plus annual target bonus

What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise Identity and Access Management strategy, roadmap, and security priorities.
• Lead identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, entitlement management, privileged access, and identity governance.
• Modernize identity governance processes, including attestations, access reviews, and privileged access workflows.
• Apply least-privilege, just-in-time, just-enough-access, role-based, and attribute-based access controls across cloud, on-premises, and non-human identities.
• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to redesign legacy processes and implement scalable solutions.
• Develop the workforce strategy and coordinate responses to audits, regulatory reviews, SOC examinations, and client due diligence.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of information security experience, including leadership of Identity and Access Management programs.
• Deep expertise in IAM, PAM, authentication technologies, authorization models, entitlement management, identity governance, lifecycle management, cloud identity platforms, and hybrid identity architectures.
• Knowledge of MFA, FIDO2, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SailPoint, Ping, Zero Trust, least privilege, JIT, and JEA.
• Experience with DFS Part 500, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001/27002, FFIEC guidance, and related standards.
• Experience with SailPoint, One Identity Safeguard, mainframe systems, z/OS, and RACF security programs.
• Strong analytical, communication, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead organizational change.

• Experience building identity-centric security programs in highly regulated financial services environments.
