Hydropower Engineering Intern

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; in-office environment with willingness to travel and work onsite, including remote locations

What you will do

• Assist Lead Engineers with project scopes, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates, and repair methodologies.
• Support the design, development, and rehabilitation of dams and hydropower projects.
• Apply engineering principles to solve design problems in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Prepare detailed project designs and drawings from technical notes and specifications.
• Coordinate with technicians, engineers, Senior Engineers, and Designers.
• Gain practical experience through office-based and on-site assignments.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or hydrology and hydraulics engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite, including at remote locations.
• Transcript, official or unofficial, required with the application.
• Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred.
